FlickA fast, native video editor built around what actually keeps a short-form video watched — not a scaled-down timeline from a desktop editor.
Windows 10 / 11 · 64-bit
Why these features
A small speech model, downloaded once on first use, listens to your timeline and lays down word-timed, animated captions automatically — no upload, no account, no internet needed after that first download. Fully restylable afterward, like any title.
Detects quiet stretches across a clip or the whole timeline and ripples them out in one pass — the jump-cut pacing short-form editors do by hand, done for you.
Toggle a faithful mock-up of TikTok's action column, Reels' caption band or Shorts' overlay directly over your preview, so text and faces never end up hidden on export.
Lossless, High, Balanced and Low presets, or go fully manual — down to codec, bitrate and resolution — in the Advanced tab. Lossless means exactly that: a bit-exact intermediate, not "very high bitrate."
Hold Space or shuttle at 2×/4×/8× and hear the audio pitched up with it, not silence — scrub to an exact frame on a full-screen preview slider when you need precision instead.
Titles, transitions, color and effects all composite on the GPU in real time, on Flick's own FLK1 intermediate codec — scrubbing stays smooth at any resolution your source footage throws at it.
Flick bundles no speech model — the first time you run Auto Captions…, it fetches a
small (under 100 MB) Whisper model once and caches it locally. Every transcription after that
runs entirely on your machine: your footage and its audio never leave your computer. Each word
becomes its own timed, animated title clip on a dedicated track, so you can select them as a batch
and restyle the font, color, size or animation exactly like any other title in Flick.
